Featured Model - THE PONTOON (was ‘the heaD in the sand’)

‘The Pontoon’ - we wanted to create the ultimate nose-rider for average waves and average Joes & Janes. Un-apologetically wide throughout.. good tail rocker, with extra nose rocker and a mild concave coffin nose, wide tail; drive when you want it, stable, turns, helps you get as much tip time as possible … buttery smooth .. with time to move those feet; incredibly fun board to surf. It is a ‘cheater’ as CJ Nelson might say. The rocker allows it to surf average surf and slide back to the pocket, a flatter board might out run the average wave … which is not what you need for nose-riding beach breaks ..

We have truly created something unique from inspiration all things past. When you extend, warp, molest a template into a magic hand shape, that then gets you on the nose every wave. From our original inspiration back in 2020 .. a few things were jotted down on a notepad .. square cut nose ala sixties nose ride comps or more recently under the feet of Mr. Toots and the wide tail made popular by Michael Takayama .. and Kaniela Stewart just realing off nose-rides in awful New York surf.

and when half your surfing friends are shapers its really great to grab hold of things you liked from their boards that they shaped you. Beau Youngs rolled tail flick which he probably got from Donald. Mike Winters coffin nose quivers and magic blue.. to Simon Firley’s insistence on nose rocker for average waves .. For me this board has taken a life time of trying into actually doing and as someone whom is unlikely to get barrelled - nose riding is important, however brief! as is being able to lay rail - we recommend the CJ Nelson Noserider fin 10.5” for this board - it has rake for turn back to the pocket or re-directs, it pivots, and you can swing that bottom turn …. trim, speed, flow, its all important. This is not designed by a professional looking to shred from waist high to double over head; this is built for Knee high to shoulder high .. and with all the forgiving rail shape, and volume you need.

This board comes with your choice of tint.

'Long Nines' - Our ‘long nines’ model draws inspirations from the classic californian nose-riders, wide point central or just forward of mid with 50 50 rounded rails, refined tail with flip and rocker. mild nose concave. A perfectly balanced board allowing turns & nose rides … change up the fin from time to time .. flex in junkie surf or classic upright pivot, or D fin for that classic sixties feel.

An example of the boards measurement 9’6″ x 23" x 3" or if your not so tall or more lightweight we can adjust to suit .. 9’2 x 22 x 2 7/8 - Fin Setup - Single fin box. It would be cool to try this template shorter .. 7’6 even.

‘Hand Fast Point’ a bladier railed single fin, with 16” tail, 22 7/8” mid point & 17” nose.
A real jivey board allowing you to surf this board any style you put your mind too.

‘Wild Card’ The idea of this board was to fit as much volume as a nose-rider in a shorter board. You could ride it a foot or more shorter than your log but still get all the tip time and cross stepping ability whilst being able to gauge turns and surf off the tail. With the option of side bites. This design has a concave running through its belly from nose to tail (single to double), with 50 50 log rails & step deck that blend to a more modern flat edge tail.. Ideal for travelling, feeling something different or for a board to progress on once you have the basics down.

‘a bit like a shorter, fatter DT ‘in the pink’ merged with the Walden Mega Magic 2’
Fin Setup -
2+1.

Middle Earth’ or Midi is our egg, a board for loggers whom want a smaller board for when conditions don't suit the log or shortboarders looking to feel the glide and occasional cross step. and some people just really suit a mid length and stick to them in all conditions. An example dimension would be 7'3 x 22 or 23 - the board has a wide nose for those stretch fives, same curve as our ‘long nines’ ; and a rounded pin for stable carves and hold in the pocket .. an ideal all rounder.

Fin Setup: Single fin box or 2+1 option.

‘Money Fish Asymm’ combines the money maker rounded tail on the backside, with the quick fish on the forehand. Quad sets ups on the back hand, single keel on the forehand.. this brings maximum speed down the line with the ability to cut back quickly and also allow great back side turns. This first one is a 6’10”.

‘Spoon’ aka ‘the rocket’ has natural speed & width. a template originally inspired by kneeboarders. It flows with the waves pace, no need for hopping, stomping the nose; just line it up and flow. The beef is in the tail, and this stable platform will allow a cross step and cheater five. Whilst dependent on your multiple fin set ups, you can have it loose by skipping the centre fin, or responsive with the 2+1 set up. at 5’5” this is quite a rounded template at 24 wide .. but our MK2 model at 6’6 x 23 has elongated the set up .. as if Bob Simmons had a fight with MP and by mistake gave birth to MK2.

Available in sizes from 5’5” – 6’6 - x 24” wide x 3” thick

the ‘Quick fish’ is a tweaked Steve Lis fish template, 70's in style with volume and width, this board will fly from thigh high to shoulder high ... a classic twin fin to shred and glide.

Example measurements 6.6 x 23 x 3 | 6' x 22 x 3 | 5.10 x 21 5/8 x 2 5/8.
Fins: Twin Fin Futures or FCS

The ‘Money Maker’ is our highest performance offering. Slightly pinched rails on a step deck hiding foam and offering a 4 or 5 fin set up, it’s versatile round tail and dims will let you ride all conditions, a great travel board. amazing backside turns.

Example measurements 5.11' x 21 1/4 x 2 5/8, |
Fins: Futures or FCS.
